Dharmavaram sarees synonymous with Dance sarees originate from the District of Anantapur of Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh. Every dancers choice would be a luxurious dance costume designed in Dharmavaram silk for its rich texture and solid colours weaved with contrasting pallus and brocaded gold patterns. They are similar to Kanchipuram Sarees but they are highlighted by muted colours which bring out a totally different effect.
